Mažer Arhitektura is an architectural studio dedicated to shaping contemporary spaces that harmonize with their specific location.

By integrating modern construction possibilities with inherited traditions, the studio creates architecture that respects its context while embracing the future. The studio’s approach is founded on a deep understanding of context, location, scale, and spatial function. Particular attention is given to textures and materials—tactile and natural—that foster a deeper connection between a space and its surroundings. The design seeks a balance between tradition and contemporary needs, emphasizing longevity, adaptability, and clear spatial organization.

We utilize advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to optimize design, improve collaboration, and ensure precise planning and execution of architectural projects. This approach enhances efficiency, sustainability, and construction quality.

For existing buildings, we create precise point clouds using laser scanning technology. This allows detailed analysis and accurate documentation of the building’s current state.

  • We develop preliminary site studies that help investors assess construction opportunities, focusing on sustainable solutions that harmonize with the context and surroundings.

  • We manage the entire process from concept and preliminary design through detailed design, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction documentation, including site supervision - ensuring the project’s successful realization.

  • The studio is licensed to work on protected cultural heritage sites, and we approach these projects with special attention to preserving the original character of the building. Modern interventions are carefully integrated to balance respect for tradition with contemporary functional needs.

About

Mažer Arhitektura was founded by Irena Mažer Hranuelli in 2020 with a clear vision of creating spaces that respond to context and user needs. Before starting her own studio, Irena led projects at Studio 3LHD, contributing to significant projects such as House J2, Riva Split, Spaladium Arena, Aquatika Freshwater Aquarium, Hotel Keight Curio by Hilton, XCimos, Novalja Studio, Cedevita Training Camp, the Kupari project, and numerous urban and architectural studies like the Janko Gredelj Urban Study.

Mažer Arhitektura approaches each project with a keen awareness of the site’s specificities, context, and programmatic requirements. We develop functional and sustainable spaces that respond to contemporary needs while respecting local character. Our goal is to create architecture that meets the challenges of the location and the brief, providing solutions tailored to users and their environment.
